This site is where Belmont alumni raise their hand to stay connected and give back. It is operated by Belmont University's Alumni Engagement team. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you sign up, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: the information you share here is used entirely within Belmont University to connect with you as an alum. We never sell it, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Information you provide. When you sign up, we ask for:
You may also choose to share more through the optional profile sections: student groups and experiences from your time at Belmont, current professional information (industry, employer, job title, or a note about your current season), and answers to the interest quiz. All of these are optional — your signup is complete without them.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. We use one essential cookie — a session cookie that keeps your signup working as you move between pages. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking.
Information from Belmont's records. To recognize you as an alum, we may match your signup against Belmont's existing alumni records (for example, to confirm your graduation information).
Your information is used entirely within Belmont University. Specifically:
The only parties outside Belmont who handle your information are the service providers that run our infrastructure — the companies that host this site and deliver our email. They process information solely on Belmont's behalf, under Belmont's instructions, and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Belmont, our alumni, or the public.

That's the only cookie this site sets. Because it is strictly necessary for the site to function, no cookie consent banner is required — and there are no optional cookies to manage.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. As with any web resource, Google's servers receive your IP address when the font files load. This does not set cookies on this site.
We keep your signup information for as long as it serves the alumni engagement purposes described above. If you ask us to delete your signup, we will remove it, keeping only what we're required to retain for legal or record-keeping purposes.
This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Staff access to signup information is role-based and requires authentication.
This site is for Belmont alumni and is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact alumni@belmont.edu and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this policy and its effective date. If a change is material — especially anything involving cookies or new uses of your information — we'll say so plainly rather than change things quietly.
